We employ the results of Central Nervous System Adaptation in Inherited Retinal Diseases in order to manipulate the ongoing activity of the SC in hopes of achieving better functional outcomes. Manipulation is paired with rehabilitation strategies, such as maze navigation. Results with and without intervention are explored. We also aim to use various stimulation modalities to restore visual information at the level of the SC in blind animals, in an attempt to restore vision through central stimulation.
